Play the toxic positivity game

Every time something annoying happens, make a game of imagining why you're lucky it happened.

Here's an example: You drop some food on the floor. Imagine that piece had a parasite, and you would've spent the next several days vomiting if you hadn't been clumsy.

Have fun with it. You aren't trying to convince yourself. You're just helping your brain practice looking on the bright side. Eventually, it becomes a habit.
